Every engagement begins the same way: a free 30-minute phone call, a plan, and 50-minute sessions — in the Boulder office or by secure video anywhere in Colorado.
Most people arrive carrying more than one thing — anxiety braided with drinking, a divorce that wakes an old grief. The chart is tidy; the work, mercifully, is not.
How we work together
Maggie draws from humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, DBT, ACT, and narrative therapy. The work is tailored to your life, not forced into a formula.
How the work unfolds
Step one · The first call
We talk briefly about what’s bringing you here and whether working together feels like the right fit. No forms, no commitment, no pressure.
Step two · The first sessions
We begin by making sense of what keeps repeating — the history, the habits, the thing beneath the thing. You don’t need the perfect words to start.
Step three · Week by week
You’ll learn practical ways to regulate, communicate, and respond differently — drawn from approaches fitted to your life, never forced into a formula.
Step four · Where this goes
Steadier choices, deeper self-trust, and a clearer sense of what you actually want. Not a life without hard days — a life where they don’t run the show.
Meetings kept. Texts answered. Dinner on the table. From the outside, you’re doing fine. But some nights the quiet gets loud — the pattern you keep circling, the decision you keep not making, the weight no one else can see. Here’s the truth: you’re not a problem to be fixed. You’re a person who needs a place to set it down.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Facing addiction and finding the help you need in Colorado.
Therapy works best when you're willing to slow down, look honestly at what's happening, and try something new — at your own pace.
You won't be met with clinical distance. Maggie brings genuine warmth to every session — the kind that makes hard conversations feel safe to have. Therapy here starts with being met exactly where you are.
Kind honesty, not empty reassurance. If something important surfaces, Maggie will name it clearly — because the real work starts when someone is willing to say what they see.
This is your process, not a prescription. You set the pace, choose what matters most, and build tools that fit your actual life — not a textbook version of it.
Whatever you bring into the room — relapse, shame, the thing you haven't told anyone — it belongs here. There is no wrong thing to say. Maggie has been on her own recovery path, and that lived experience shapes everything.
Because therapy is private, I do not ask clients to publicly review their work with me.
The quiet, internal experience of noticing your relationship to substances has shifted — without naming it as addiction yet.

Most major insurance plans are accepted, and Maggie will verify your coverage before the first session. Private pay is $150 per 50-minute session, with a sliding scale available case-by-case.
Thirty minutes on the phone. You share as much or as little as you like about what’s bringing you in, ask anything you want, and see how it feels to talk with Maggie. If it doesn’t feel like a fit, she’ll point you somewhere better. No pressure, no commitment.
That’s one of the most common reasons people come. “Something feels off” is a perfectly good starting point — naming it precisely is part of the work, not a prerequisite for it.
No. Being unsure — even deeply ambivalent — is a normal place to start. Maggie works with people who are questioning, cutting back, newly sober, or protecting hard-won recovery — without shame, and without pushing you toward a decision you haven’t made.
Yes. Secure video sessions are available to anyone in Colorado, and the Boulder office is there when you’d rather sit in a real room. For most people online therapy is just as effective — research consistently backs this up. Many clients mix both.
It depends on what you’re carrying and what you want. Some people come for a season around a specific transition; others stay longer for deeper work. You’ll revisit this together regularly — there’s no meter running toward a required number of sessions.
Sessions run 50 minutes, typically weekly. Please give 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Payment is handled through a HIPAA-compliant system — all major cards accepted.
Everything you share is confidential, with the few legal exceptions every therapist is bound by (safety-related situations), which Maggie will walk you through plainly in your first session.
Fees, insurance, logistics — answered plainly, so the only thing left to decide is whether it feels like a fit.
Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute phone call — a chance to share what’s bringing you in, ask anything, and see whether it feels like a fit. No forms, no commitment, no pressure.
Sessions are 50 minutes and $150. Most people start weekly — consistency is where the momentum comes from — and adjust the rhythm as things steady. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available; just ask.
Most major insurance is accepted. Not sure about your plan? Mention it during the free call — a quick check is all it takes, and you’ll know your exact cost before your first session.
Meet in the Boulder office, or from your own couch by secure video anywhere in Colorado. Many clients mix the two — the work is the same either way.
Scheduling is handled directly with Maggie, and payment runs through a secure, HIPAA-compliant system. Life happens — if you need to reschedule, just reach out with as much notice as you can.
Hover each thought — or tap it — and hear the other side of the argument.
